Hello, all. I sold a company and retired early at 44. I was going stir crazy and decided to re-enter the workforce. Now that I have no family left I decided that trucking would be a great fit as I have no off switch, I’d drive every day for years if permitted. All that unnecessarily said, I’m a recent CDL-A grad of the NYS training program both classroom (30hrs mandatory -new as of Feb. 2022…) and the 30hr in cab portion. I’m having difficulty finding a company hiring anyone with less than 3 months of verifiable driving experience. Bottom line, is there anything I can do without having to take and pay for another “round” of lengthy training? Clearly I did not do my research when choosing my method of obtaining the license. Any assistance is truly appreciated.
