How to prepare for lifting tarps

So this question goes out to all the flatbeders on here. How much do tarps generally weigh and what can I do to be able to lift them with ease? I'm a small guy weighing in at 135 soaking wet lol and I eventually want to go into flat bedding and just wanna prepare myself before I actually venture out into it

What did you do before becoming a truck driver?

I graduated high school in 2012(got a feeling I'm the youngest one here lol) and continued my rodeo career for the last couple years and decided I need a real job lol

Driving a pup trailer

I'm going to be driving a truck with a pup trailer making local deliveries. Let's say in a year or two I wanna do regional or OTR would the companies still hire me?

Georgia Highway 26

Sounds wonderful. There is a lot of history out there. I have already experienced the urge to "stop & see" - something I always do when traveling in my car. I like to go down all the little dirt roads and check out the historical markers, odd little shops, parks along the way. Well, needless to say, I can't be doing THAT with a 53' trailer!

One place that made quite an impression on me was Hwy 231 in Indiana, south of LaFayette. There are acres and acres of wind turbines all lined up as far as the eye can see. Driving through there at night was quite a sensation, all the turbine's red lights blinking on-off-on-off in unison. It had a surreal, sci-fi quality to it. Very cool!

On interstate 39 just north of Mendota Illinois it looks pretty much like it does in Lafayette lol

Double Clutching

So in training the instructors hammer it into your head to double clutch and I know I need to for the test but how many of yall actually double clutch when you're on your own?

Yeah, the rivalry between companies can be fun and pretty harmless. Every major company takes a ribbing from the others. Kinda like the Ford/Chevy thing back in the day.

The Ford/Chevy thing still goes on today Brett lol me and my buddies argue about that more than anything lol

Ford hands down. Not that Ford is good, just GM makes terrible products, not 100% of the time, a broken clock is right twice a day, but usually.

I completely agree
