Clock Management Question.

I would say it depends on what you're getting back in the upcoming days, not just tomorrow night. If you're consistently getting 9-10 back over the next 4-5 nights then you can be comfortable running recaps. But if you're only getting 2-3 hours back on say Saturday or Sunday night, you may be better off taking the reset now and being ready to run for next week.

Split Sleeper Break

At the end of the 8, you'll have exactly what you had on your clocks when you started the 8. After the 2, you'll have a full day, MINUS whatever you do between the end of the 8, and the start of the 2.

I hope that makes sense

Walmart Pickup Is Awesome

I usually make a list of things I need and then leave the damn list in the truck.

I had a wonderful habit of doing the same thing until one day a light bulb went off. Now I just type the list out on my phone which I always have on me in case of emergency lol.

The pickup is a great idea that I've never tried. I usually end up having to do my shopping on my 30, but there are a few Walmarts on some of my regular routes that I know I can park overnight so I always go in and get whatever I'm running low on. Much easier than rushing through on the 30 minute break. I'll definitely be trying the pickup option though.

Truck blown over

Apparently there were sustained winds around 65 mph with gusts up to 80. In my opinion, the biggest thing for new drivers to take away from this, is how quick it happened. Don't think that you'll be fine and if it starts to blow the truck over you'll be able to just slow down and stop before it happens. Gusts like this will take your truck out of your control before you can even process what's happening.

Flatbed securement question

I would personally put a choke strap on each of the odd shaped bundles. I've seen that metal banding come loose or break more times than not. Other than that, my straps would look a lot like yours. I'm an over-secure guy for sure lol
