Considering A Career

I'm single, 53 and own a dog daycare, boarding and grooming facility. I've been doing this since 2009. I have been dating someone for almost a year now and he has just recently enrolled in truck driving school with CR England. He has passed the tests and has his CDL and is currently on the road getting his 20,000 miles in. He absoulutly loves it! He wants me to come on the road with him and the excitement in his voice has really got me thinking about a career change. I've read thru the pages of the Ladies Forum and I think you ladies are awesome! What a great group and I am looking forward to chatting with some of you.

Thanks Cynthia. I am going thru the CDL Training Materials on here, been answering questions and reading reading reading. That is awesome being able to go with your Dad. I hope you get back into it and wish you much success!

Hello Ladies!
I am new to this site and also this industry. The man that I have been dating for almost a year now has recently gone to school at CR England. He has his CDL now and is on the road getting his 20,000 miles in. He is soooo excited about it! and I am just as excited for him. He has mentioned quite a few times about me coming with him and the two of us going on the road together. This isn't something that I have ever considered doing.....until now. I am so glad that I stumbled on this site. I look forward to talking with many of you and building many friendships.

May be making a career change
Thanks STARCAR for the encouragement! Yes, I am doing the High Road Training Program and plan on going to my local DMV and taking the written and get that out of the way first before going to school. I want all my ducks in a row before I even sign up for the school.
That is sooooo cool that you are building a trike. You will have to keep me updated on your progress and send pics! I've had 2 Harleys before this one in the pic and I love this one. It's my baby.
I commend you REDGATOR for deciding to take a step and doing it. The more I read everyone's post the more excited I get about it. Someday when you have time, I would love to hear about how you got started in it.
Take care my new found friends and keep the rubber side down!
