CDL learners permit revoked ?

I seriously doubt that it would be possible for that to happen. Your permit was issued by the state not the school. When I was in school they "paid" for mine, and held onto the state issued copy, they made all of us copies of the originals (those were not legal permits as they did not have the state seals) however I could have gone to the DMV and paid for another legal permit copy.

Double-clutching, downshifting and struggling...

Just one more thing...

How long are most CDL schools? This one is 2 weeks, with only about 8 hrs of actual drive time and about 8 hrs for skills...

Mine was 4 weeks 1st week classroom and permit testing. 2nd-4th was working at learning to drive, back, basic handling and double clutching before licence testing. For me, everything I learned in school was just to pass the licence test, have found with my trainer that i am relearning how to drive again, for the second time.

Thank You Brett, TT Pro Posters, and MTI for a brighter future

Thank You Brett and all of the veteran drivers that have dedicated there time, and wisdom to this wonderful site. I have been lurking in here for about six months kind of like a sponge, soaking it all up. Today I finished my final day of CDL training at MTI in Springfield, Missouri I scored 98% average on my permit tests. (Tested, General Knowledge, Combination, Air Brake, Doubles,Triples, and Tanker.) and am very sure that it was because of this great site and your excellent CDL training materials.

I also know that some of the fine people at MTI speak highly of this site, and personally I think that they should know that there efforts and dedication was a great help, and is greatly appreciated. I paid for the four week training so that I would not find myself committed to a company with a bill and contract, it was affordable and accredited plus they helped to place me with a smaller company that I think I will be happy with.

I am looking forward to starting my new job on Monday and know that I will continue to lurk here and learn from honest and true professors of trucking until I feel that I have some small nuggets of wisdom that I might be able to share with others already here, and those that follow in their tracks, I would like to give a shout out to Todd and Kym, you will not be forgotten and I am very grateful to you both.

And to all you Masters of the Big Rigs here on TT I salute you, keep the shiny side up, the dirty side down and may your HOS be plentiful. Hope to meet you all out there.
