Hey Sober-J, It's a major player in the LTL game. I don't have to do any dock work, and should get my seniority up in no time at all to bid for a schedule that will get me home daily. I dont' mind the bag runs, beats sleeping in a truck at a truck stop. I'll be put up in a hotel room. Pulling mostly double sets.

Hey drivers. Wanted to say hello. Got a new gig coming up soon after I pass road test and drug test. Bag run with a LTL company. Regional linehaul in the NE. Home twice a week for my girls. Any linehaul drivers here?

So, why did he fail? What did he do that caused the failures? You explained the circumstances, but didn't say what he actually did to fail. Usually a student has to make sure they don't forget the range selector button, or square up and take a turn wide enough, or check for traffic in both directions at an intersection while making a turn. A lot of people don't pass the first time. Hopefully your boyfriend knows what he has to focus on in order to pass the road skills test.

Kansas has been insane lately!
That's a wall cloud, your lucky you didn't get swept away in a tornadoe!!!
Eh, it really wasn't that bad. Does give me another story to tell though!
Beautiful, but potentially deadly. Hope now you're more aware of the potential danger.
Very aware. But where can you go? It's Kansas, completely flat land. There's no place to duck and certainly wasn't any truck stops around. The only option was to push through, sometimes that's the safest thing.
Yep, that's a tough position! Just wanted to be sure you are aware of the danger my friend. By the way, I've enjoyed reading your posts. You've put a lot of time and detail into some of them.

Interview with Con-Way, Hot Dang!
Best of luck with your job search and interviews. Food for thought with Conway. Make sure you ask if you will be required to work the dock, and if you will be on any sort of extraboard or on call for work. Not every LTL company has extraboards where you're not guaranteed work or have to be on call, but some do. If you just want to drive, make sure dock work isn't part of the gig. Good to know the questions to ask so you're not surprised, better to know up front.
