I kept trying to get hired locally cause I really didnt want to go back on the road, but heard the same thing about recent experience. I waited to long and more I've been out of school to long. So my question to you all is which company Pam,Werner,Swift or any other that will hire in my situation would you recommend thank you. Ed Thomas

Thinking Of Returning To Driving
im 70 yrs old and im thinking of returning to driving but don't know how companies really feel about older men, i drove for 15 yrs starting in 1978 and drove 33 states driving flat beds, vans , low boys, and tankers. During this time i had a chauffeurs class e and held that until 1992 then i gave up my license for a class c and got off the road. Later in a different job i was laid off permanently with the option of being a disqualified worker which allowed me to be retrained for a different job so i elected to get my CDL/A with haz, doubles and triples and tanker. I did not want to go to companies like Pam, Werner and such so i tried to get on locally, but i had same response from all of them, i had to have at least 6 months of recent experience so i went back to another trade and now Im out of work again but this time i cannot take anymore training in Texas.. Guys i dont know, but i may just be blowing smoke but if i had a chance i sure would look into it. Im still in good health thanks for any feedback
