I'm back

Well, from what I'm hearing Watkins Shepard isn't too bad a place to start. Obviously I won't try to get a pre-hire from just one company. I need a lot. I'm just trying to find those with terminals in Las Vegas. But I really do appreciate the feedback. It's also good to have you guys keep me moving in the right direction. Over the next few months I'm going to have lots of questions for you.

I'm back

Hello y'all!!!! I was on this forum about a year ago while I was working and living overseas. At that time I became interested in returning home and getting into trucking. There was only one drawback. Living outside the US meant that I wasn't driving with a US driver's license. I was told once I got back home I would have to wait one year after getting my license again before I could start my new career in trucking. Well, that time is now getting close. I have been in contact with Sage trucking school in Idaho where I plan to do my training. At the same time I have put in an application with "Watkin Shepard Trucking". So far so good. So at this time I want to ask if anyone had been to Sage turcking school and what was your impression. Also, does anyone work for or had worked for Watkin Shepard?

It's good to be back and I haven't given up on my dream of getting into trucking even after this long delay. All good things comes to those who wait I suppose. Looking forward to your replies.

Sage Truck Driving School.

Hey Erik, where you settling back from? I'm in the same boat..I lived overseas for 24 years and just getting back to the USA..finding it hard to get companies to talk to me at first, but have had a couple of good conversations with Swift and Prime..things look positive..

I just got back from Japan. The biggest hurdle of getting into this industry is the fact that I don't have any US driving history. Did you have this problem as well?

Sage Truck Driving School.

Thanks for the info guys. I really feel this is the driving school I'm going with. I have family up in Coeur d'Alene where there's a school. If I stay with them during training I can save a lot of money.

Sage Truck Driving School.

I've been off this forum for a couple of months as I get settled back in the USA. I was recommended to go to Sage as a driving school. Has anyone gone to this school? Do companies hire drivers from them often? Any information will help since I'm looking at going to this school.
