Trucker etiquette question

I have unintentionally gotten into a debate on another site about appropriate reaction to breaking unwritten rules in the trucking world. Since I am not in that world yet, I'd like your opinions about it.

I know it is wrong to do, but how would you react to someone coming up to your parked truck while you are in the drivers seat and opening your door to talk to you or give you some paperwork? Not first waving to you, or knocking on the bottom window, but just stepping up and opening the door.

I'll tell you what my argument was about after I hear some of your unbiased opinions.

Sobering 15 Seconds Saturday

I commute to my current job on a motorcycle and constantly have to watch cars and assume they don't see me. Riding in the HOV lane, passing a line of cars backed up in the regular lane, I have to watch for an impatient driver to suddenly dart into my lane without signalling. I don't know how many times someone has made a left turn from the right lane in front of me. That happened in an rain storm once and I wiped out and slid the bike under the drivers door. Thanks for letting me know that thing won't change when driving a big rig. Except that my legs will be more protected in the truck.

Will I be fired for hitting curb?

Sitting in the shop now getting repairs out of pocket. I may need to start looking at my options just in case, there are some websites advertising. ;)

Will I be fired for hitting curb?

As you've heard, Denver is covered with snow. Sunday morning it was falling very thick and I was driving the family to church in personal vehicle minivan. I missjudged the curb cutout for the entrance to the parking lot and jumped the curb going in. When I parked (hit the hole on the first try)wife noticed the right steer tire going flat. I'm not exactly a newbie, with 25 years of married safe driving, but many driver examiners consider hitting a curb autofail. Do you think the wife will fire me?
