Something odd with my Qualcomm

Something odd happening on my Qualcomm. When I park for my 30 minute break I put myself offduty, at the end of it I watch the clock say "30 Minutes" and my DOT time updates so I start driving again only to get a little ways down the road and it reverts back to the the original 8 hour time. When I check the log it says I only stopped for 29 minutes. I thought I was just messing up until today I had my wife riding with me and was showing her the 30 minute break clock, it changed to the new time and before we even got 15 miles down the road it did it again. any ideas?

ABF says they pull this all the time

I'm with you, picked up a load and scaled it, came out to 81045, told dispatch, nope I have to get some weight off so they had me go back to shipper to remove 1045 lbs. I have been told by my trainer and it is good rule I follow is any load over 30k scale it....

Who changes your trucks oil and coolant level and how often

No, as a company driver you won't change your own oil, however, you may need to top off fluids as necessary when you check all of the levels during your daily pretrip inspections.

Averitt, X2 this, I only check levels.

Georgia Pre Trip test question confused

double-quotes-start.png

To get your permit, it's all written exams (the tests you stated). When you go back, it's all "practical", nothing written. You'll be with an examiner for (up to) 2 hours. In that time, you'll take them through the truck doing pre-trip inspection (including air brake tests), then 3 backing maneuvers, and finally the driving exam.

ok im done with the permit part ..... Heard GA is one of the harder states for pre trip i found on the Oregon DMv site thru google search they let you bring a checklist with you to help out lol

Did mine in Georgia, no check list allowed, you will do 5th wheel coupling area to include airlines and in cab airbrake, also one random area (I drew entire pre-trip) so you will need to know it all to include trailer. then you will do straight line, cross over and one random (alley, parallel either side), then the road test.
