Carrying a Weapon in a CMV

Schneider gun policy also bans "any chemical which can do harm"

Those short baseball bat tire thumpers with a wrist strap look to be the best idea. Cheap to buy. Serves other purposes, so as not to be considered " a weapon", and can clock an aggressor from 5 feet away.

Backing help for Sue D.

Boy does this sound familiar. Last week was my first week as well. Picked the straight line rather well as it is similar to backing my boat trailer. Just remember to allow time for that long trailer to react to your turns. Make your movements settle . But I too fell apart on the offset. Seems like one time would go good and I would think I had it and the next time would be a disaster . Them I would see my classmates doing well and I would think I was stupid and kick myself , again I would forget the needs to wait out my movements . I was ready to throw in the towel . But by the end of the week it came together and I passed. Keep up the practice and learn the proceedire and it will come together If I can do it , anyone can

Going to Schneider

Thanks you guys. Very helpful.

The dedicated route they are offering me is 11 days out with 3 days in. What should I expect to really happen ??

Non compete agreement

I have seen these in other classes of business. Most times you will not see lawsuits unless that $$ involved is considerable. Think of the costs involved with both parties.

However if the industry is aware that a certain company requires all employees to sign the agreement then you will have a problem getting hired by the next company.

If you do get hired and the old company knows where you went, most likely the new company will get hast led by the old .

Personally I would never agree to sign such an agreement

Going to Schneider

No advice from me. I too am leaning towards Schneider, but being green and fresh out of cdl school I'm not certain I agree with only 18 days total traing before solo Trust you are aware of the sign on bonus being offered on some jobs. ??

Schneider or YRC

I agree with. 6 string Schneider offering. $5000 sign on in some areas for new cdl holders coming from approved schools But the orientation and inroad traing is only 3 weeks then you go solo Tempting to me but feel I need more time with a trainer to take what I learn at school to become a real skill Yrc is union with dues to pay And my understanding is they are not financially stable
