That is very cool! Though I have to disagree with the part where it says that "no behaviors impacted your score..."
I would venture to guess that ALL of your good behaviors impacted your score... in a very positive way!

What I find really sad about this incident is that this could have been prevented. This same type of accident has happened enough times with other bridges in the past that all bridges on navigable waterways like this should have had sufficient guards installed to protect the bridge supports from errant ships that use those waterways.

Those look very much like the parrots I would see in parts of Tampa a few years back when out running my errands.

Just a funny trucking picture to brighten your day
Wow! That does sound like quite a 'shocking' revelation!

Being part of the division in our company that relies heavily on people splurging on travel and tourism, it's been a bit of a slow year for park attendance. As a result, merchandise sales have been sluggish too, though they've held somewhat steady since they tend to follow the number of visitors. But they're nowhere near what they were when I first joined the team two years ago. I'm confident that once we start shipping merchandise to the new park in preparation for its opening next year, things are going to pick up big time.

5 year anniversary yesterday!
Excellent news! Like some others, I also had no idea that you went through this. I'm glad you were able to push through and persevere, I do enjoy seeing your perspective on things when you post here on TT.

Hi Rose! Welcome to Trucking Truth!
I think BK covered commenting on ability issue and med card part pretty well, I don't have anything to add there. I do want to add, however that so long as you can get a new med card, you should check with your state's DMV office what would be necessary to re-instate your CDL A. You haven't mentioned what state your located, and I don't see it listed in your profile.
Just for reference, Years ago when I moved to Florida, I had no need for my CDL then, so I let it get re-classified to a Class C. Years later when I wanted to return to driving, all I had to do was get a new med card. Made an appointment with the DMV, I showed them my med card and they happily re-instated me back to a shiny new Class A CDL. I only had to pay the $85 fee the DMV charged for processing. On top of the $100 fee for the medical exam that is.

What's my chance of getting a local driving job?
This observation isn't directed at the OP, but it's a general concern: why are so many people driving as if they're auditioning for the next Fast & Furious movie? Can we hit pause on those audition tapes? It seems like the need for speed has taken over the streets lately. Let's all take a breath and remember, it's not a race out there. Safety first, folks! 🚗💨

Looking into trucking and wanted some opinions on my idea for starting in the industry...
Since you did have interest in going to Swift, another company you may want to look into is Knight Transportation. Knight and Swift are basically the same company but with somewhat different options. Knight does have some slip seat positions where time out and home time are quite flexible. Below is an excerpt from a posting I see for the Lakeland Florida terminal. I'm not sure if other terminals offer the same or similar options, but it couldn't hurt to look into it to see if they have what you are looking for.
