It's funny how that works I have a little cat with a really short throw I found myself not wanting to push the clutch all the way as well. I was running I-5 this week, saw a bunch of 4-way flashing trucks crawling over the shoulder, some are allowing the faster traffic to go by, the others are PASSING another 4-way flashing truck, you got it, FROM THE SHOULDER!

My Q is, is it what those shoulders designed for? Will that manuveur lead to a citation? 10/4!

I have just begun hauling refrigerated loads. I was given one demonstration on how to lift bulkhead doors and it seemed simple. However when I got to my stop I discovered that I did not know how to lift them correctly. I ended up having to tie and knot strings together and sometimes manually lifting the bulkhead so that the guys could unload the taller pallets. I have been looking all over the Internet for examples of how you lift them but have come up empty. Can someone explain to me how to lift them properly so that I don't make another fool of myself? Thanx :)

The rope is the ONLY TOOL to flip the bulkhead to the ceiling. But, mind a few things.

First, use your body weight. As inside the reefer, the roller for the rope may stuck due to lack of lubrication. Instead of pulling with the power of your arms, try to use the weight of ur body to aid the pulling, and try to do it with one shot.

Second, learn how to release the stopper BEFORE pulling bulkheads up, and how to engage it AFTER bulkhead's over the ceiling.(hint, rope angle)

Third, knot is good, but not that good. Try to round the rope along ur palm.

Errol, they do the counting to make sure what said on bills are accurate. Frozen Food it is btw.

I bet Daniel B. have had been here sometime before. Looks like a rookie checkpoint to me, lol.

My advice is to write down everything you experienced with your truck, then hand it in by the service desk. The mechanics will try their best to maintain it to OTR ready.

Going back to training a student through PSD and most likely through the TNT phase too. It's been a year since I trained Ken C. and I've had 130,000 miles since then to think about it and what could be improved.

I'm starting on the June 15th class.

Also, word on the road is Ken C. might also start training students on the same week as me.

Say if I jumped ship now and join Prime, I won't be a PSD correct?

Back from home time, the truck was shut off for 4-5 days, so Qualcomm performance page was all zero. then I picked up a dry load with 45k net, 78,900 gross. By the time I shut down, I reviewed performance, the MPG was 7.9! I used to get 8.5 when I deadheaded to location with my empty trailer attached tho. XDD

Swift DOES have truck simulator, but it's.an AUTOMATIC, with an artificial manual shifter as decoration tho. At least from what I saw(& experienced) in Jurupa Valley.

But, they are not for student training purposes, more towards advanced trainings.
