Trying to find my first trucking company
I was the same as you in 2011 I went to NETTTS trucking school got my class A through them. looked at every company out there applied to many and decided to go to Prime went in as a C seat yeah I felt the same way 40000 miles WOW thats alot but it was well worth it the first week and part of the second your trainer and you get to know each other and it goes kinda slow about 4000 miles a week Trust me he is not going to bed the first day you are in the truck. He will be up showing you different things to look for while going down the road. Tords the end we were running 6000 to 7100 miles a week and was making more than the 700 they offer. It was the best experience made me a much stronger driver learned so much. I still talk to my old trainer at least 3 times a week. I picked Prime for the training pay which Is the highest I found for someone straight out of school.. It took me 10 weeks to finish my training But I came home 3 times and one of them was for 5 days. It goes quick..

Back when I started learning I had trouble setting up the trailer to back in. My trainer showed me how to set up the trailer and after I was able to get it in. At first I couldnt get it at all. But when I told my trainer I am having trouble setting it up to back it in and what do I look for to set up he told me and showed me while i was pulling up to where I need to go in 1st gear rolling SLOWLY . Once I got how to set it up before backing in. It all got easy NOW I can put that trailer anywhere I want.

Your right Daniel I have looked into them myself for the lease side and found that there lease opps don't get much per mile its under a $1 per mile.. There company side didn't seem all that bad. I agree with you stay on the company side.

Good luck, Dina! You have posted here more research than any one else I've seen.
In your learning methods, you did not mention motor learning (your body/muscle learning). This is critical, especially for shifting.
I will definitely bring a tape recorder with me..and will probably have to play back a lot of what the instructors' say and take notes."Tape recorder"? How 20th century!

Best of Luck to you.. From what I read from your posts you will do GREAT!!!!!! you have done your homework.. I did that 4 years ago I did lots of research and it worked out. You need to go where you think would be the best fit for YOU.... It can be a struggle you will have your awesome days and your bad days 2 people small tin can it happens. After i got my class A I went otr with a trainer and he was Great learned so much. I really didnt struggle my first year I was getting good miles and good loads a month after getting my own truck. But I also pushed myself to learn it all in that short time with my trainer and it paid off in the end. Asked lots of questions.

Mexico
Canada is pretty good my cost alot of money and there is a lot of steps before you even cross the boarder you must do first . when you do go to canada make sure you have enough food and other things because they do cost more up there.
