Prolonging company sponsored CDL training for recently disabled
I have been researching company sponsored CDL training companies for weeks now. I have my CDL permit and I received my medical card within the past 30 days. I really liked PRIME and was in contact with a recruiter from PRIME. However I was just told since I didn't have 2 years of verifiable employment during the past 3 years they couldn't proceed forward with me. I have worked my whole life and in 2012 at age 42 while working on one of the largest hog farms in the world I was diagnosed with stage four tonsil cancer. So I was placed on disability and have received social security disability for the past 3 years. I have fought and beat my cancer thru surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. And gave documentation from my doctor releasing me to go back to work. So I have obtained my DMV medical card and my CDL permit and have been driving a dedicated routes with a family friend for the past couple weeks from NC to PA. Can someone please lead me to a company who will help me in getting my CDL and my training so I can get a secure job with a trucking company. My physical condition is as good if not better than before I got sick and I feel like I have been discriminated against a little bit by prime here but need some direction in the right way. The reason I liked prime was because I liked there pay for truckers in training since I have a wife and kids, mortgage etc. So thanks for any help with my problem thank you and I have been getting so much help and info from this site. It's this site I have to thank for passing all my knowledge tests getting my permit.
