Trucking vs. Software developer

I.T pays twice as much, your home every night but the stress can be crazy.

Go enjoy four years of University but stay out of trouble if you want to ever get into this world.

I was sent home from Celadon Academy...

28F got you? It sounds like you overdressed started sweating and then that zapped your heat and you went bonkers.

Sweat in the cold and you die they say. -2 is nothing really.

Good luck.

Anybody left a higher paying job in corporate America for trucking? How did it work out for you?

I work in the corporate world still and I can tell you errors are not acceptable in our world ever check and recheck and then get your worked QA again before ever submitting work you should know this. If you got the job they assume you have the qualification and don't need to be baby sat at 70k let alone be making mistakes over and over.

Buckle down stop making mistakes and show them you can be a benefit not a hindrance.

And make sure to get the right kind of diesel when coming to the north in winter. Seen a few US truckers get there fuel line gelled up, and lots of wind shied washer fluid. Out of the cities your going to need it.

Why would anyone be shy on coming to Canada, it's safer than your USA.

Gas a is a little more expensive up here but we get paid more than US trucker's make.

And crossing the border is so easy, get a fast card. Dispatch sends in the paper work to border control. When you show up it's in there system and 95% of the time no problem just drive on.
