Money for swift ?

Some trainers will pay for some or all of your meals while training. I said some not all. When i was training with swift I went through about $500 during school and training. My trainer didn't help at all, although a couple guys that went through the academy with me their trainers did pay for meals. Least they could do since they are making all the money for us driving rofl-2.gif

Random question about flashing lights

I keep a small screwdriver in the door pocket for that. When I drove for swift a lot of their trailer pins in the connector would get closed. slip the blade in the slot on trl pin a little it would tighten them up no more bad connection

Swift paperwork

Also your SS card can not be laminated. When I went to the academy a few students had to scramble to get that fixed.

Swift speeding the trucks up!!

I know when I drove for Swift I always wished the darn truck would have gone faster. Fast forward to today I own my truck and can drive as fast as i want to. Guess what I found out. I started driving my truck faster up to the legal speed limit and sometimes faster. I found out that going faster didn't really help at all certainly not 3mph. One more time guess what speed I drive mostly now...... Yep usually a little slower than the limit.

How much money do I need for swift?

When I trained at swift you needed $150. for your CDL lic. Then you need enough to feed yourself for the time your there and for the time you were with your mentor. I took $500.00 with me and that made it through. I have heard that now you have to have your permit before going to the acadamy not sure about that I'm not with them anymore.
