What’s this guys deal?

Errol was correct. This is in fact at a rest area. And it was in fact a hot shot spec’d pick up. I’ve never heard of a rest area offer paid parking. Is that a thing?

Probably a local guy who pays for that spot to park his rig. Parks his personal vehicle there when working so the spot is available when he gets back. All the truck stops around here have several local drivers that do this.

Is it just him being a jack wagon, or is there something else to this? I walked past the truck, and it was empty. Saving a spot? I dunno.

A milestone

The long nose I had assigned to me at my previous company had 1.8 million on it. 3406E. 2 overhauls I believe. We had another one at 2.2 million. Same engine. And I talked to an o/o that had a Detroit 60 series with 2.5 million on it and was going to try and overhaul it one more time.

First encounter with an Electric semi.

It was delivering to the distribution center I pull out of. Ran by Koch Foods. Their warehouse is right down the street from ours. A spotter talked to the driver and was told it has a range of about 155 miles. Didn’t ask how long it takes to charge. I’ve also seen the container company Maersk running these.

Thoughts? Would you drive one?

Feed back on Hub Group Trucking

Hi Cesar. Welcome to the forum. I don’t think we have any active members here who drive for Hub Group to be honest.

23 pages, 53, pages 123 pages it does not matter. I’ve encountered black ice several times driving in the Chicagoland/ NWI area. As have an infinite amount of other drivers. It’s either shut it down or use extreme caution. Nobody will here will advise your husband to do anything other than own up to his mistake.

Nothing is going to change your husband having this preventable rollover on his record. Gonna have to own up to it. Not deflect blame with baloney. Also keep in mind it’s slow everywhere right now.

Beginning The Process Of Becoming A Truck Driver

Sorry to hear that man. Have you tried Western Express or May trucking? I think you said you already tried CR England right?

Baltimore Bridge collapse

It is being reported that the ship lost propulsion prior too. Although I’m not entirely sure what it means. Also appears this ship was from the Philippines.

Owner OPs leaving their truck running all night?

I agree with Pianoman. I’m strictly local now but was otr once upon a time. I was always more bothered my the jagoffs that wanted to treat truck stop parking lots like race tracks running 30 miles an hour than anything. But that’s a whole different topic.
