Georgia Pre Trip test question confused

To get your permit, it's all written exams (the tests you stated). When you go back, it's all "practical", nothing written. You'll be with an examiner for (up to) 2 hours. In that time, you'll take them through the truck doing pre-trip inspection (including air brake tests), then 3 backing maneuvers, and finally the driving exam.

ok im done with the permit part ..... Heard GA is one of the harder states for pre trip i found on the Oregon DMv site thru google search they let you bring a checklist with you to help out lol

Georgia Pre Trip test question confused

Ok ive been reading on the internet and it seems some state take a pre trip test like the GK AB Combo test for the permit. When I go back to the DMV to get my real CDL do i have to take another written test or is it just where i walk around the truck and point out the important areas then drive the truck and do some backing skills have been trying to study the pri trip but the test or walk around is mixing me up thanks

Got My GA CDL A permit got a ?

Congrats on getting your permit. I also just got back from taking my permit test here in CA. Had to take GK, AB, & Combo as well. Passed all on first try, was happy about that because I've been doing nothing but studying, and girlfriend feels abandoned. I plan on going back on Monday, to do Tank, Haz, and Doubles/Triples but here in CA (maybe other states as well) you can only have Tank endorsement on your learners permit. The others will be added once you obtain your Class A. As for having your tank endorsement, this is what the clerk at the DMV said "the tank endorsement can be put on your learners permit but you are not allowed to have any cargo in the tank, while your driving it". This may be a new federal/DOT issue cause she said, this is something new and there having to comply with Fed regulations. Sounds like you can train driving with a tanker trailer, but obviously we know that once the tank is full of cargo it's a different story then just "pulling a trailer".

Congrats on your's as well now to start studying my pre trip I want to be ready for class looking like class is going to be full next month with 12 people

A question for Trainers

Have you ever had a trainee that was too big/over weight for the top bunk ? I'm not going to sugar coat it I'm a big guy well over 350lbs but i'm eating better and drinking more water. I have been overweight all my life but lately do to sitting around drinking lots of soft drinks its gone up.

I'm not lazy and can work my butt off and learn quick I'm just worried about this I supposed to start school next month and its really eating at me
