I used to be a member here a few years ago when I was a new truck driver. I'm now fairly experienced. I started with Swift Transportation, stayed a year and then left to join a local driving company.
I made $50k my first 12 months as a Swift driver. That includes the day I walked into Orientation, the four and a half weeks of over the road training, and joining the Walmart dedicated fleet towards the end of the year. I could have made more money but I took home time fairly often. Plus I was almost always sent to grocery warehouses
I used some tips and tricks from the internet, YouTube and even trucking truth to maximize my efficiency. I still get the trucking truth articles sent to my email these days.
I'm going back as an OTR driver next month. Local driving has it's perks but I'm ready to get back in over the road. I sold my house recently and I'm single so I figure now is the best time to do it. I think this time around I may upload some vlog style videos or general truck driving videos.
Feel free to follow me on YouTube to check out my adventures in the future. I added a few video montages from years ago to get the channel rolling
