TMC

Thanks for the replies, I was wanting to know more about TMC orientation, what they have the student do from a day to day basis and then the 5 weeks your out with a trainer. I have spoken with 2 recruiters and really like the equipment, but want to know more about it in depth.

Thank you Old School. I will check that out.

Covenant

I have been wondering what happened to Covenant? No, these are not the white trucks you always see, I had always seen them only at night running across PA and once when coming out of Chicago. Even though it was back in 2000 I had a hard time finding their phone number and don't even remember how I got it back then. They are based out of Ohio and I was thinking it was Lima, but I don't think that is correct. They were a blue steel color and the name on the trailer was in a reflective white in old english type.

TMC

I have been looking through some of the forum posts and have been wondering if anyone has completed TMC orientation and has any more information to offer?

Have looked through a few posts and even read Old School's post and have been wondering if there are any TMC drivers on the forum?

Just a funny trucking picture to brighten your day

I had tried typing funny flatbed pics but I was hoping to find pages of pics unlike using the search tab and then clicking images. The pics weren't so much funny and real good ones seemed far and few between I was expecting something similar to pages of pics without having to use the images tab. I will will try those out. Thank you

Nothing, I don't even know how to respond. I was just amazed at how funny some of them where and figured a majority of them were being made. I'll do a google search. Thank you!

What's so bad about the Northeast anyway?

One thing I do like the North E is the scenery, and me personally Maine is just awesome

Single, no kids and OTR

Well, here is something to put into perspective, not trying to be the party pooper here. I did just exactly that which was mentioned, I lost my job, had to drop school, paid everything off that I could, and had enough time to get my stuff back in storage in IN.

I was told that getting my CDL out of state was no biggie when transferring back to your home state which in my case was going to be SC. It was a good plan really good plan, until checking to see what all I would have to do since they stamped void on my SC driver's license. So now providing residency in SC has turned out to be quite a challenge, since I have no utility or rent bill that can be verified and no mail.

So anyway that was the last thing I thought would happen. Luckily I did happen to find out that all that is taken care of in IN, but none the less. I guess really that only applies if you will be getting your CDL from school in another state.

I believe it's in brett's book where he was telling his story about his trip to NYC don't quote me on that, but it's interesting, exciting and though not funny if your in the seat, but its a good read.

When to know its time to go.

They take out the slack, but I have seen people driving with them(bungy cords on)and still the chains look like there gonna fly off the tire. Put them on in a cross pattern.
