Swift training schneider orientation.

My suggestion is withstanding. You are asking the wrong guy for the answer I think you want to hear. I honor my commitments, written or verbal.

Realize that Schneider reimburses a set amount each month (150?). I don't believe they write you a $3990 check on day one. Swift will require you to adhere to a monthly payment schedule. Make sure that you clearly understand your obligations to Swift and Schneider's terms of reimbursement before deciding.

As per post earlier I already plan to stay here.I just wanted input from people with experience in this industry.it does not hurt to ask.I am not a dishonorable person.I plan to pay my loan. Thanks for your input

Ian why do you want to do this? Did you complete the 200 hours of mentoring/road training with Swift or just attend their one of their CDL schools?

Hi Gary, I initially wanted to go to schneider but I could not afford the 2000 dollars down payment for attending a school to join schneider.I do understand that both companies are good starter companies and that thinking the grass is greener on the other side is not always true.Next week is my final week at the swift academy and when I get my cdl its the mentor phase.I am shifting more towards staying at swift because their mentor phase is a bit longer and they are looking to grow their flatbed division which I am very interested in.The training at the academy has been stellar in my opinion.Any advise for are against this will be much appreciated.

My advice is to make good on the commitment you made to Swift. Schneider is a very good company. They would be happy to hire you if after your first year with Swift you want to make a move.

What if schneider offers reimbursement for the cost of going through swift?

1.Is there some form of dress code for the school? 2.When you did your physical,on your medical examiner certificate/DOT physical under the cdl section which box was checked? The yes box or no box.

1. I can only speak for the Phoenix Academy on the dress code. The information that was sent to me by my recruiter said Collared Shirts. The first day of class we were told T Shirts were OK. No offensive or alcohol/drug related writing on the shirts. Leave your Corona wifebeater at home. LOL. Shorts are OK as well. No elastic waist basketball/workout type of shorts. It can get hotter than the gates of HELL in Phoenix in the summer. Sneakers are fine and recommended. Instructors say clutch and brake control are easier with them.

2. On my DOT Medical Examination Report, top right corner, "Intrastate only" check NO. "CDL" check YES.

Are you coming to Phoenix?

I hope this helped you out. Good Luck!

Hey I hope all is well Tractor Man.I have been lurking in here for months and I have followed your progress keenly.I start at the swift training facility on monday and I have a couple of questions for you.

1.Is there some form of dress code for the school? 2.When you did your physical,on your medical examiner certificate/DOT physical under the cdl section which box was checked? The yes box or no box.

I have read somewhere that if the no box is checked that means anothe dot physical. Is that the case at this particular training school? 3.Do they give you a cdl manual or do I have to bring my own. Thank you for taking time to read and answer this.Have a great day
