The start with C.R England

Day 2: today was a nice easy day, went to class this morning and watched a few videos then got to meet our trainer. Went to the truck and started driving, as your driving your trainer is scoring you just like the test. I got a 100% on mine but like I said I have been around this all my life and started driving when I was around 12, now for the guys that haven't been around trucks they was learning about double clutching and up and down shifting. My stress hit the roof when they was driving but i was in there shoes before and not everyone has the pleasure of have family around trucking. Tomorrow we go back out and let's see how it's going to be. I know I can do everything so I am trying to help the guys out by talking to them and letting them know how I do it and not to stress just to stay focused and drive, it's not the end of the world if you grind a gear of 2 and to focus more on handling the truck and being safe.

The start with C.R England

Ok here we go, I have been working around trucks from the time I was born my dad was a driver and I was a truck pusher before the oilfield dropped. So I was looking around and was reading on different companies that had school's I could go to. I called a few and decided to run with C.R England.

I send in my application and a few days later I got a call from Jon. We talked on the phone and I decided to go with it. He didn't promise me anything and was as I can tell honest with me, he sent me for my D.O.T physical and passed that I went the next day and got my permit. I called him and told him everything is done and I am ready to come. He set me up a bus ticket to head to Salt Lake City. I am leaving out on the 9th and I'll keep everyone updated on how things go.

Today was my first day of class. We did paper work, drug test and things like that. We had a 35 question test we had to take and they went over what would happen this week. Then started working on getting to know your Pre trip and how the air breaks work. Tomorrow we start driving. I will say it's a fast pace school and if you have a hard time learning it's not going to be a place for you. I'll post more tomorrow on what we did and how the day went.
