Free CDL training at St Louis Community College

So I just wanted to share some info that I came across and that I am doing in the next session. This is 100% free and if you are a vet you are giving preference. The only cost to you is for dmv check and the permit cost, they cover DOT physical, background check, and lic cost.

I think I've made a Decision

I use the cdl study buddy just for the audio book so I can listen to some one read the book to me while I am working with my headset on plus I use Bretts

Swift, Prime, or Roehl

So I have done my research on these three companies and now I would like to hear from drivers or students that have felt with them so I can get a personal perspective on them if anyone is intrested in sharing.

Thanks

Ever to old to OTR

Thanks everyone for your input and comments. I didn't think it was to old but I had to ask others because I have a crazy brother who said I was to old for OTR. He does local runs and did dedicated for a while but he is one of those guys who thinks the government is out to get is all. So again thank you all.

Ever to old to OTR

I want to get my cdl and drive OTR, I just turned 49 and I am ready to start a career that I always wanted to do. So am I to old?

Frank, I agree with G-town on age. I too was 53 when I started. In fact, after studying the HRTP I took and passed the permit test on my 53rd birthday. Good luck.

I have been using the CDL audio book when I am at work instead of listening to music so I should have no problem with the cdl exam. Just really curious on how the raid treats us as we get older. I do believe that it is something that I truly will enjoy.
