Plant hauling with a 1-ton truck

Just a quick question for anyone out there that can help with this.

I am pulling a gooseneck trailer with my personal 1 ton truck. It doesn't have any numbers on the side. When do I have to go across scales, when I'm just loaded or unloaded also?

I have a quick question that I'm trying to find out. If I am pulling a goose neck trailer with my personal truck hauling nursery plants do I have to stop in at the weigh stations in Louisiana and Texas? I just got my class A CDL's and I'm trying to get a little side job going while I'm still working my normal job. Any help with all of the legal information would be very much appreciated. DOT numbers for my truck.

Hello, I am new to the CDL's. I have just got my CDL's and have been trying to get my truck and trailer set up and ready for the road. I live in Louisiana and I have a 1 ton drw truck with a 30' gooseneck trailer. I am wanting to find out for sure what all it is that I am needing to get as far as my numbers en-order to driver in other states besides Louisiana. I know I need to get my DOT numbers but was wondering if there is anything else that I need to get. Thank you in advance, Chris
