From Military To Trucking

Here's my situation: I'm 21 and was recently "seperated" from the military with an Honorable Discharge. I originally wanted to get into trucking before I joined the military but I wasn't old enough and I couldn't wait to get on my own two so I joined the Army. This is the trucking school I will be attending: http://www.sampsoncc.edu/continuing-education/truck-driver-training/

-What should I expect my first year of trucking?

-Would there be a trainer with me for my first year or months?

-What are the most common safety issues on the road?
