No longer accident free hahaha!

My truck was towed because of the leak & need to pull it out the ramp. Company owner decision , he wants it to be fixed in the dealership to make sure leaking will be really fixed and not because of the following :

a) A fatality b) Bodily injury to a person who, as a result of the injury, immediately receives medical treatment away from the scene of the accident.

As mentioned above. No fatality , No Injured , No other vehicle involve, No Citation, No other damage in the truck except the water leak.

Actually - sheriff doesn't determine what gets reported on your DAC.

"Technically" - since the vehicle had to be towed from the scene, this "should be" considered a "DOT Reportable Accident".

The DOT defines an accident as an occurrence involving a commercial motor vehicle which results in: a) A fatality b) Bodily injury to a person who, as a result of the injury, immediately receives medical treatment away from the scene of the accident, OR c) One or more of the vehicles incurs disabling damage, requiring it to be towed from the scene

So this may show up on your DAC.

Sorry about your bad luck there - could have happened to anyone - sorry you spoiled your winning streak...

No longer accident free hahaha!

So I'm trying to keep my goal all the time to be accident ticket free but sometimes **** just happens. I went to Southbay, FL Sugar plantation to pick up a load going to MD. They have a narrow scale when you enter the place but since its my first time I pass through it and ended up coming back. So okay , I checked on the lady at the scale. After checked in ..I need to do a detour once I pass the scale so I can go back inside the building to where I will need to pick up my load. I was pulling out when my front right tire in my tractor missed the ramp. I ended up short! I pulled the brake right away and check my surrounding. My radiator fluid were leaking so bad , at first I thought it was my diesel but no thanks god!

Few mins later Sheriff came , took my dl and company insurance , registration. No property damage , no other vehicle involve. No other damage in my truck aside from the leak of my radiator fluid, no citation. I asked both Sheriff if the accident will be on my DAC , they said NO. Reported everything to my company. I waited 20 mins before a tow truck came to rescue me.

I found out that I wasn't the only one who had the same accident. Tow truck driver said , its his first time to see the accident to where non of my fender are busted. I just told him , I stopped moving after I feel that I missed the ramp..If I did try to move it myself damage could have been worst coz it would tear up both of my fender or scrape my tank. I spoke to the manager of the place and he mentioned they will add more space on the ramp coz its really narrow.. When you pull up you can't even see those lines.

and oh the reason why I pull more on the right ( as you all can see in the pic ) is because thats the only space I have to make a detour and I gotta turn wide to avoid hitting the truck in front of me and at the same time to make the turn.

I missed the good run but still thankful that I'm okay , no ones's hurt & no ticket.

Now here's my question. I put the accident to Macro , does my company consider it like an accident to where it will be listed on my accident report where future employment will be affected or they will just keep it in the record about what happened to the truck while I'm employed with them? How does the accident like my case work?

Safety didn't say anything to me aside from a reply "ok" after I told them what happened.

I'm staying here in Red Roof Inn West Palm Beach , FL while waiting to get my truck fixed tomorrow.green Abilene Motors tractor trailer falling off narrow scale at Southbay, FL sugar plantationgreen Abilene Motors tractor trailer falling off narrow scale at Southbay, FL sugar plantationgreen Abilene Motors tractor trailer falling off narrow scale at Southbay, FL sugar plantation

Dealing with jealousy!!

So my FM called me today and told me a story.

One driver came to ask a loas. He was given a 500+ miles load goin to GA. He refused, complain that he always go there. He want to go the West Coast. He basically want a run that I have. He dropped my name that why i get it and some dont?

The staff replid " Because she run like a Team , maybe if you run like a team we will let you take a load to the West "

My FM was still in the office when that driver came. He just thought its funny. Coz the one who keep complaining are those driver who dont run & just burn time at Truck Stop. They ***** more than they drive lmao.

Its making me sad because I didn't expect that jealousy will exist in my company. I am not doing anything but to give my best everyday & do my job..but we really can't please everyone. Some people got too much hatred, bitterness & jealousy.

So from now on Il just mind my own. Il shut my mouth up to avoid some issue. I just hate drama! As long as I do my job then thats all it matter to me. Ive had 2 FMs already but I never had any issue to any of them. So I truly believe its really up with the YOU.

Simple thing: IF YOU RUN, THEY WILL NOTICE YOU. THEY WILL GRANT UR REQ TO WHEREVER YOU WANNA GO. YOU WILL HAVE THE MILES YOU WANT. BE DEDICATED TO UR JOB AND UR COMPANY WILL LOVE YOU.

To 34 or not to 34, that is the question!

This is a very good question. It all depends. Like me , I get my miles by doing reset every week.

Im OTR but run East Coast to West Coast. I don't do recap unless Im just gonna stay in the East.

Like last week. I started friday I took a load going to Idaho then Oregon to Washington , back to Oregon to swap then heading to Seattle,WA again. Theres no other way for me to run to west to make my appointment if I do recap unless the place is 24hrs drop and hook. All of my load in West are all Live load and they normally close during business hrs. In east I run recap coz its more drop and hook. Chasing midnight is not a problem , plus having a reset is a big benefit to me coz I run hard every weekdays..By doing reset every weekend it gives me time to have a good rest for working straight weekdays, clean my truck , do laundry and chill so I dont get burn out. I didn't even bother doing time off , all I did since I went trucking is reset every weekend nd im all good.

Does one have to be a citizen or permannent resident to get a cdl?

double-quotes-start.png

Hi Im a PR but ive been a PR since teenage Im now 26. You can have cdl in any state get endorsement once you hold a US DL for atleast a year.

I bought property overseas and its in my name. I cant own one if I'm a foreigner.I got everything settle tho so I will prolly file at the end of the year for my citizenship then reapply to again to be dual.

4 day with out a shower

Dang I run hard every shift but I still find time to take a shower everyday. My day will not be complete with having a shower, sometimes I have to take twice esp when I go to California. Before my shift and after.

There is always a time. Its just up to you on how you manage it.
