Working in night driving

Thank you very much to both moderators who took on my question. Makes total sense with the examples you gave. I will exercise these examples you have given. In my past you hit the button on the head with the mistake I've been doing running hard after the load. I hosed it twice trying to do the night shifting driving but was just barely able to recover the the arrival time.

Working in night driving

I want to start working in night driving and don't have the luxury to park at shipper/receiver like Old School does. Usually staged about 1 hour away. Let's say your reset ended at 0800hrs. Your next pickup is at 1100hrs or 1600hrs or 2000hrs. Solo driver. I drive for example in the Midwest to east coast and back. Trying to avoid construction and traffic for example. Newbie level. Trying to maximize on miles. Thanks in advance.

Looking for work - felony background

I just applied for about 40 or so. I kept filling those out. Thanks for the information. I did get a few phone calls. Just waiting on the response back. Thanks again guys, Charles

I echo G-Town, try that list first. If you have no luck with any company listed there, try local listings (through Craigslist, newspaper classifieds, etc.) for small companies that may be hiring in your area.

Define smaller companies please. How do I find them?

Thank you.

Check out TruckingTruth's wiki page on companies that hire drivers with felonies.

As you are aware, it's probably going to be a difficult road filled with rejection. Apply to any and every company that seems likely, and look into smaller companies that may be willing to give you a chance. I would recommend on applications to say you were convicted of sexual assault and leave it at that. Do not give any explanation unless specifically asked for it.

Looking for work - felony background

I'm looking for work! I'm looking for details where to apply with the below information in mind.

Graduating soon from trucking school. Felony 1998, sentenced 4 years served 2, satisfied probation 16 years ago. Never used drugs and can pass 365 days a year, nor been in accident. I'm in the Peoria, IL, Springfield Il area. I've applied at many multi site trucking web sites with little to no response. My first 15 years profession as a paramedic. After felony IT computer work which I've been had luck till 2014 when companies started to outsource or close. Please reply with hiring details. Charles

P.S. Thank you for telling me to pray and keep the chin up and keep applying that even smaller companies hire. P.S.S. For those of you who want details of my felony. I was dating a married women who claimed being separated and getting a divorce however the story change when her husband called found out that we was together she yelled rape. No I didn't call her husband to confirm her separation or divorce goals. I challenged it in court and lost.
