Well besides an accident which is highly unlikely for me, any other reasoning?

Drug question about holding a cdl but not using it.

So I recently left my job as a trucker and I live in a state where marijuana is legal. I don't have any intention to give up my cdl, nor will I ever drive while high. So can I smoke? There's no reason I would be tested by the DOT and that's the only test that would screw me right?
