Whats up ppl, my name is HotRod, and I recently decided I'd get into trucking. I recently joined up with truckingtruth to hopefully get knowledge to the game and maybe contribute as a young naive 23 year old getting his feet wet in this lol.
So basically I've been researching CDL training and came across two companies that seem great for starters, PAM, and PRIME INC. I applied to PAM first because it was the first company I ran across and not knowing any better I decided fk it why not. They accepted me and I'm pending with them(read further as to why). However, I did delved further and found out that PRIME actually has the better program in my honest opinion over PAM. So I did my application, blah blah, got a call this morning after doing the application at like 5 in the morning. We went through everything and we set a date for the 19th.
He said my application would need to process first but at the end of the call said that I was set for 19th even though my application hasn't processed?. My question is am I good to go or is there something that can potentially disrupt me from leaving for the 19th? I tend to worry a lot bout small things lol and I'm wondering will they actually verify my references. They're good references don't get me wrong but they work like I work and tend to be busy and I'm just wondering what if they can't catch them at any time will that knock me back. Not only that, but I haven't really got any other info about the Greyhound there, etc etc. All in all, I'm just wondering should I start preparing myself for this new adventure, or pause for a minute and let them call me back first????

Prime Interview Questions
I previously made a post here talking about how I was worried if Prime was gonna send me out. So far it looks as such, recruiter called me the next day and literally said "Good news, you're in!", and proceeded to ask me a few more questions. I'm wondering will everything me and him went over correlate with what I need to expect at Prime?
Will I still need all my work history and stuff? As I told the recruiter, from 2012 to 2016 I was a student in college, and at the top of 2016 I've been working at UPS as well. I gave him my transcripts, and my first and last paychecks(haven't been there long enough to receive any W2). He said it sufficed, and I'm wondering will it suffice at the face to face interview. Another thing, he asked had I done any illegal drugs in the past two years. Honestly I wish I had of lied, but I told him last year in August I did do Marijuana(being a college student and being really lost asf I did, I mean...it is what it is sadly.). That being said, I think because of that he made me do a HIPPA form, and said that it was noted that I said that. Will this come up again at the interview, and will it possibly hold me back, even if I break it down that look, I was in college, I had no direction, and it was thing I participated in??
Other than that, at the end of the call he told me he'd be in touch with me weekly until the week I leave (Sep 17th, Saturday). And he'd send my greyhound ticket that week. So right now, I'm good, just excited to even have the opportunity to get out to Missouri and make this happen. I'm just hoping that they wouldn't send me out just to hold me back over any little technicality. As far as my background...I've never had any run in with the police(besides the occasional road block etc etc just passing em by), been locked up, cuffed, ticketed none of that. as far as I know, i'm clean as a whistle unless someone else using my name lmao. So I'm definitely not worried as far as that goes. Just making sure that my ducks are in a row for when I get there though.
