Started at Drive-Train to get my CDL
14 10.75 hour days...and it is hot. We started Monday. Took and passed the permit test (missed 5 total) on Wednesday. Been backing and working on pre-tripping yesterday and today. The backing is fun once you get the hang of it.
It's about 95 here in Jackson on this hot yard. But we're knocking this beast out. Backing and shifting were my 2 biggest concerns so I am hoping next week when we get some road time that the shifting will really come to me.
Appreciate y'all.

Start class next Monday(paying for school out of my GI Bill). I've narrowed my list of companies down to about 5. Should I go ahead and apply to all of them and then pick once I've graduated?
This site has been a big help just reading what you all have to say. Thanks a lot!

I've not yet signed with a company yet. GI Bill is paying for the training.
