... since he did not leave on his own.Larry has serious false rationalization issues if he can't link a person's rule-breaking activity (keeping a weapon on a truck) with the company's response (kicking the guy off said truck and company).
Most rules do not allow for ignorance or disagreement. And such a hot button issue as carrying a weapon in a workplace is really common sense, no explanation needed.
(Please note, we are not discussing Second Amendment rights and privileges here. We could use a six pack of beer and have the same result.)
Jeez dude, relax, reread the OP.
Was simply curious if the guy that f***ed up with the weapon) was still on the hook for his training, NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS.
The other queries, issues noted in other forums.
There are other trucking forums out there.
A few here took it as the lighthearted inquery it was intended as.
The guy with the gun is a dead horse, quite beating it, we all know, as does, it was a major FUp.
I only asked what happens to the tuition in light of hiis being terminated.
I read the contract i signed, and have no issues with it.
Oh and before you imagine im looking to jump ship, hows about i get ON the ship before we start thinking im looking to move elseware.
Question was also partially based on other post of now departed students, that simply failed to attain CDL, or did something equally stuped during TNT phase, or even might be shall we say, accident prone.
The question then also branches to what if a medical condition appears, and company decides they do not wish to continue the work relationship?
Try not to read anymore consperacy ideas into it beyond that.

Swift has a schedule of dates: the longer you're on the program, the more you'll have to pay.
And everything from failing a pee test to weapons and fighting, you're asked to leave, and you even have to buy your own bus ticket back home.
So, Larry, what did you hypothetically have in mind? Just askin'!
Was more in wondering if an earlier poster ( caught with weapon in his bag and was termed) if he had to pay his schooling fee 4k+ ? Since he did not leave on his own.
Not looking to debate if he was wrong etc, just does he now have to pay up, and he also does not work there, at companies request.
As noted, a hypothetical question.

Thought occured to me the other day in light of a number of posts.
Many companies require a year commitment for providing training, what happens in the following cases...
Fails to pass CDL exam
Terminated due to having prohibited items in truck.
Terminated due to drinking off duty during training process.
Would person still be held to pay training?
If after getting CDL and actually employed by company, and termed for any number or reasons, still held to pay up?
Inquireing minds want to know.

6 weeks of training on the road... UHHG!
Lol, I feel ya on the questions back. Your trainer is probably just trying to get you to think and work out whatever the scenario is. My trainer (who is my codriver these days) and I became close friends, despite the fact that he was and still remains an unrelenting perfectionist. Even though I'm wrapping up my rookie year soon, I wouldn't have had it be any other way.
Well i'll tell ya I aint taking any long hot showers with him, thats fer sure 😨
But seriously, at night, on unfamiliar road, jeez, i just asked left or right, dont need 20 questions back ! ! !
Sure i get that i will need to remember how i got in somewhere, but then i would at least have directions in.

Gawd, I hope so lol. Mine seems more concerned with fuel economy, but may be he just has to pick somethink until a pull a bone head move. 😀 Now if i can just get him to answer a question other than to ask me a question back, and stop acting like i have traveled these routes before.....

Kudos to this site from an in process primey
Well dropped the load of Yams in American Falls, inroute to pick up in Sugar City Id. Then routing to the nain Prime depot to test. Route will run us over the Teton Pass.
Not sure which has me more worried, the test, or the drive.
Feel pretty confident on the driving test, short of any really bone head move ( which i still make ), fairly confidant on all parts of pre trip, backing up.... real shakey there. Not enough practice...

Hypothetical question
Oh, and currently the only piece of the CDL skills test im concerned with failing, is the ally dock back up test.
