My name is Tim and I just discovered this site a couple days ago.

First, I'd just like to say thank you for all the info and advice available here. Being a truck driver is something I've thought about on and off over the years and if I had found this site sooner, I may have made the jump a while ago.

I'm in the "overwhelmed by all the info" stage 😂 so I'm sure I'll end up asking the same old questions that have been answered a thousand times, so here's my apology in advance. 😉 "I'm sorry for beating a dead horse."

I currently live in Florida, so it seems like I'm very limited in my choice of sponsored schools which sucks, but at least there are a couple. Of those it seems like prime would be the best for me.

One immediate question I do have is the time frame.

How long does it usually take from initiating contact to acceptance/rejection and then going to the school?

I ask because if it's a matter of months, it would be better to start the process sooner rather than later, but if it's usually a few weeks to a month or so, I'd rather hold off on getting the ball rolling until I've had a while to study the available info/ get my ducks in a row so I don't get caught off guard.
