Brett (owner of the TruckingTruth.com site) wanted us to try something new to help all you out. So, we are opening up the floor for you to speak directly with a recruiter to answer any questions you might have. If it’s something about the training process – we will answer it directly. If it’s a question more of the lifestyle/day-to-day of trucking, we will get an answer from an experienced driver who has been through our training program for you. Thank you. I'm am working on my second round of the high road cdl training program. It took a while to get through it, so I'm going back over it again. I read Brett's book. Loved it and I'm doing the cdl practice tests now. I downloaded pictures online for the walk-around moved them to excel, I created a study guide with them so I've got most of the walk around memorized. (of course trucks are different and I've never been under the hood of one.) I'm going over Truck Driver's career guide now. Also I'm going to review principles of success. Thank you for the advice. I've lost 50 pounds and workout every other day so I have health and strength to do whatever job comes my way that I can do. (I'm not lazy) I've almost always been able to do what I've set my mind on, but I am a person who has to study, work hard, and keep my health up to do so. So thank you for the advice. Hopefully I'll be on my own as soon as possible. Fingers crossed. Again thanks! Nice to know there are people out there willing to help.

I spoke with another new person who just started U.S Xpress. He said that as a team he was making over $1000/wk, but his partner quit and now he is making only $400 - $500 wk. I hope it's just a round of bad luck for him. But how do new drivers find new drive partners?

Someone just told me that if I drive for US Xpress I'll have to pay tolls out of pocket in advance and then have to file with the company to get paid back is this true?

What kind and how big. CFI requires a $500.00 pet deposit. You would have to call them to see if they hire from your area. They will train you. You would have to wait until you go solo to take the dog with you. I have seen guys with some pretty big dogs.

I work at Tampa Ship here in Florida. I saw a woman driving for CFI with a large dog in her truck. I thought when I saw her I wanna do that!

I've been researching for a while now. But the pet status changes. I'm considering US Xpress, but I'll definetly research CFI as well. Oh Mastiff Boxer Mix. American Mastiff not English. He's about 65 pounds I think. Sweet dog.
