They stopped us because they didn’t see our NY permit on the truck, after they checked our credentials we were let go, it was a guy recording in the back seat we’re thinking it was live pd

I’m a Carolina boy lol we hardly ever see temps like that I like the cold but not NE cold 😆

Those are all still shorts weather for this Iowa boy. I like seeing how the boys down in southern Texas dress when it is below 55 degrees, you would think they were getting ready to go snowmobiling.

Yea I’m enjoying it I’ve had my far share of ups and downs but more ups, I learned how to drive better, I got thrown in the fire 🔥 lol I didn’t like it at first but I learned a lot from driving up and down those steep hills and congested traffic, I prefer to drive at nighttime also had a preventable definitely learned a lot from that.

Im glad you seem to be enjoying your time so far! I bet that was a real shock your system hahaha. It really makes fueling or pre/post trip a real PITA when it's cold. It will get MUCH colder than that. I think last year in Iowa the coldest windchill we had was -40. Wyoming and Montana get much colder than that due to nothing blocking the wind. You'll know it's cold when you can throw a pot of boiling hot water in the air and it comes down as ice which does happen (YouTube it)

That's what I was thinking... Those temps he listed were positive. Just wait till they are in the negatives.

I’ve been to places I thought I’d never go like Maine, New Hampshire and New York I see why I’ve never been because this weather up here ain’t no joke 😆 that’s all we’ve been doing is the northeast, my mentor doesn’t turn down loads so we get the loads nobody wants in the northeast but he told them he ready to get out of here, so we’ll be going to Erie, PA them Plainfield IN

Who's going swift

Welcome Tom to the Swiftys, I’m a student driver finishing up my first week, I’m enjoying it so far the only thing I’m really getting use to sharing a small space with another human being because I’m a space guy but other than I’ve been running in NY, NJ and one stop in VA in back to NY, this morning I finished driving 540 miles which to me 10hrs 23mins, I drove 6hrs before I took a break I’m enjoying seeing all of the beautiful scenery when I get a chance because I mainly drive at nighttime oh well I hope you enjoy your experience in CDL School but once you get on the road your trainer may tell you to forget what you learned in school because this is a different ball game.
