How would you approach this back?

Is that store a mandatory and does it have a restriction size on it. To me that should be a 45 or 48 foot restricted trailer. It should say on the stop line of your paperwork. From looking at the overhead and then Seeing street view they either remodeled that store and changed the parking lot because I bet that they designed it originally to be driven around. I would not be surprised to see if that store wasn’t supposed a front door delivery at one point due to the safety reasons and that the dms weezled their way out of it. There isn’t FD anywhere on the paperwork is there?

Definitely the previous gentlemen have the correct advice for how I would approach it. But I would definitely bring it up to safety. That stop should be a front door mandatory delivery. They put those boulders there because trucks were having. I choice but to pull up in that area. I wouldn’t be surprised if many drivers hadnt ripped off a bumper there.

Preventable accident.

A year is a Long time to go on that account. If Schneider is anything like Werner you will be fine. Safety asks the dispatchers what kind of driver you are. That is always considered. It’s a blow to your pride . Learn from it and move on bro. You are doing a good job. A driver once told me (driving in general not just dg) that it’s not really a matter of if you mess something up but when and how bad. Lol Get back on the horse cowboy

The Tennessean Truck Stop

I loved that truck stop. Drove by it a couple of times a week when I was still with Werner. Delivered to Tenn quite often

Does that mean a name change? (Heartless express’s biggest fan?)

Want to become a trucker

Johnny

I think that paid training from a company would definitely be your best option. That way you can get pre checked out in the employment history and have an answer before you spend thousands of dollars on a school. Good luck!

1 year anniversary with Schneider on Dollar General Account

Larry yeah I don’t particularly miss that part but hey at least it’s a wooden floor!! Lol. I used to hate metal floors. Especially when there was busted charcoal. Would make it so hard to get out of the floor ruts. What I would do with stuff like that would be to get an empty rolltainer and put a piece of cardboard in the bottom. Then just throw it all in there. Generally I would kick it off to the side until I had everything else unloaded.

I’m summertime I quit trying to deliver at night unless I had a shower waiting for me. Cause most of the darn stores wouldn’t want to take it then anyways. …. Lazy employees

Come on back to DG man! Don't you miss when you have 1200 pieces and you arrive to a backroom like this?

Or packed with clothes, tiny boxes and fragile crap that falls to the floor and breaks?

What a week. Started Sunday with my first tandem tire blowout 15 miles of Fargo. 3 hours for a clown to show up from a Loves in Fargo. It was a Sunday so expected I guess. Monday the Manager was 2 hours late to open the store. Tuesday a manager wouldn't let me unload at 7pm(they close at 10pm).

I'm now in 100% agreement with the vets on here. No newbie should be doing this. lol.

Anne, Yeah I just decided to stick it out. Figured I would hang out with the kids and wife for awhile longer. I work with a great bunch of guys, and stills get that good feeling when I see the lightbulb go off above a students head when they finally grasp a maneuver. Plus I didn’t really want to skip seat and the position wasn’t home as often as I would have hoped . With that being said Spartannash seemed like a great opportunity for someone just doesn’t fit my current needs

What do you call it when you stump the "Pros from Dover"? (long post)

Keep your head and your spirits up Mudge! I agree that being sidelined doesn’t make your advice less credible! Hope you feel better soon

Something kind of cool happened at work. As a lot of y’all know I am no longer hauling to dollar general and currently work as a cdl instructor with troops into transportation. Some of the students found out what I used to do and were asking me questions. One young man knew quite a bit about the job. And told me that he had been on this site reading about this “guy who detailed his hole experience” i asked him his name and I was thinking he was talking about Larry or someone currently on the job. He said no and i found out he was talking about. “Papa pig “ and did I know him. That’s when I had the obi wan moment lol.
