We'd have to know a little more about your situation. Are you under a training contract? Have you already been out on the road or did they send you home from orientation?
If you're not under a contract and you haven't started your training yet then I guess there's nothing stopping you from talking to other companies. There isn't anything you can do about your current company sending you for a sleep study. They have the right to do that.
We've had a lot of people get sent home for a sleep study, get diagnosed with sleep apnea, and have to stay home for a month to get a month's worth of data on their CPAP machine before returning to work. That is not at all uncommon.
I am in training and only have 1 week left. 2 if need. I finished 3 weeks.
I'm situation isn't really getting a CPAP and the company trucks do support them so I won't be fired in I do. But I'm problem is more of a financial situation than the sleep study.
The only symptoms I have are snorting and 44cm neck. Even the sleepiness questionnaire I got a 1 on and 0-9 is normal. The reason the company insist on it is my trainer observed my possibly falling asleep at the wheel so the request is understandable. But that was i solitude incident and never happened before. Even the sleep lab refused to order the study until they added sleepiness which me and the sleep lab believe it was added only Because of the companies request and based on all the information I don't need one done and still trying to get in touch with my doctor to see if she really believes it's necessary cause if not I can just get a letter to go back to work.

I'm a new driver and my company is holding me home till I received a a sleep study which the information shows I don't need. And it will be 3 weeks without pay by the time I get the study and 4 before I can get back to work. I can't afford to beat home so long with out earnings. What are my options?
