Hi my name is Amy, I found your site while looking for information for my husband. He has been driving truck for 9 years. In November of last year, 2016, he had a minor stroke, none the less out for a year. While the company he was driving for kept him working in the shop, two weeks ago they did a work force reduction bs and let go over 40 people in one day. Two weeks after the stroke he was cleared by the doctors to return to work all except driving. He plans on going back to driving in December. My question is does he need to get a release from a neurologist or will one from his general physician do? We live in Washington state, and seem we get different answers from everyone. The biggest factor with the neurologist is getting an appointment and the money to see him for 10 minutes. Sorry so long, and thanks for any help you can give me.
