I know you said you've applied to several companies. Did you apply by using the link here on TruckingTruth?
If not you can give it try. It will send applications to several companies all at once.

Yeah, BK is right. THC shows up in follicle tests for a long time. I saw you asked in another thread about whether having prescription (medical marijuana) card would be taken into consideration. I'm not positive, but I'm 99.9% sure you can't have any illegal drugs (illegal according to the DOT) in your system. I would definitely recommend trying to manage the back pain in a different way for the next 6 months while the THC gets clears your system, if that's possible for you.
In the meantime feel free to ask questions, join in the conversations, or just read through the information here at TT.

Had a preventable accident and got fired
Hey...I'm not sure Fred is talking about drug rehab. The gist I got is that he is talking about physical therapy/rehab bc he was injured in the accident.
I'm guessing the company let him go once he was medically cleared to return to work🤷♂️

Hi, Fred. You can't go wrong by throwing out several lines and hoping some company will take the bait.
The link above will allow you to apply to several companies all at once.
If you get a call from a recruiter who asks about your accident, be honest. Don't make excuses. Own your mistake even if you think you may not have been totally at fault. Say you have learned from the experience and that it has made you think hard about what you can do to be a safer driver.
Companies are currently being rather picky about who they hire right now bc the demand for shipping has slowed down recently.
As someone mentioned here before (I'm paraphrasing), "While there may not be a high demand for truck drivers right now. Safe, productive drivers are always in high demand."

Most horrible training experience
Jose,
Relying only on what a trainee tells us about their experience, It is sometimes difficult for us to determine whether a trainer is being a condescending jerk or whether a trainer is just being bluntly truthful without candy-coating his comments.
We aren't in the truck. Therefore we don't know what is actually going on. Some of us might think you have a right to be offended by your trainer's attitude towards you. Some of us might feel you are being over sensitive. Based on either kind of response their are nuggets of wisdom you can take away from all the comments you received in response to your original post.
Hopefully, if this trainer is as bad as you say, other trainees will speak up and the company will get the message that this person should not be training new drivers.
On the positive side, you can look at this as a challenge you dealt with and we're able to move on from. A new driver faces many challenges during their first year. Being able to get through those difficult times is a huge part of becoming a successful driver.
Best of luck to you!

The companies you mentioned, did you speak with a recruiter? Did they tell you they couldn't hire you bc of the non preventable? Or did they refuse to hire you solely based on the fact you were terminated from your previous company? All these little details are important.
Were the police involved? Did they write a report that says you were not at fault? The police report may help you make your case when applying. The company I work for now asked me to provide a police report of a non preventable I was involved in. Bc I was able to get a copy of the police report and send it to them I was hired.

I'm 25 years old wanting to get into the trucking industry
I will second what ID Mtn Gal said. Apply for company sponsored training. If they accept you into their training program you can be certain your past is not an issue. Just be honest with them when applying. You don't want them to discover something you failed to disclose and get sent home for it.
