I am waiting on the documentation which says I am permitted to travel for work.

That is going to be needed. I helped a person get hired at Western Express that was on probation, but we had to have a letter from the probation officer stating they were free to travel out of state for work. You should also have them include in that documentation that you are not required to physically report. If all you are required to do is call in then you want your future employer to have proof of that.

Are you allowed to leave the state? Being on probation I think would limit many companies from taking a chance with you, unfortunately. Did you get any prehires prior to beginning school? When are you off probation? I'd recommend the "second chance" companies such as western express or Carolina Cargo. They seem to be more lax in their hiring requirements. Don't let them not being as picky deter you. The name on the door doesn't matter, as a driver can you successful anywhere they go as long as you prove your a safe, reliable driver.

Also, the nature of what your felony was will also have an impact on who will hire you.

I graduate CDL school on 12/14/17. Top of my class with a 95. I test at DMV on the 21st. I've applied with multiple companies. Any suggestions on one's that hire when you are still on probation? 3 1/2 years since conviction. 4 1/2 since date of offense. I'm on level 3 shadow track. I haven't had to report in person in 8 months. I call in one a month. Thanks for any suggestions.
