Pet Peeves about fellow drivers

Number 3 is my biggest peeve too! well said!

These are in no particular order:

1) Drivers that pull into a truck stop and just park wherever they feel like it instead of getting into a space when spaces are available 2) Drivers that block fuel lanes for inordinate periods of time 3) Drivers that throw trash and/or pee containers anyplace other than a proper receptacle 4) Drivers that leave the window curtains open, then remove clothing 5) Drivers that blast others with headlights unnecessarily at truck stops or shippers/receivers. This is especially distressing when they do it when another driver is trying to back into a space 6) Drivers that use foul language on the CB 7) Drivers that use CB channel 19 for any purpose other than providing courteous help to fellow drivers 8) Drivers that have no tolerance for innocent mistakes of fellow drivers 9) Discourteous/unprofessional behavior of any kind

We've all got our jobs to do out here. Let's do so with kindness and professionalism. It doesn't cost anything extra and will probably add years to your life, or at the very least, it will add life to your years.

Background checks

I know TransAm is easier on DUIs I think you can have 2 in the last 5 yrs or so. just be upfront and honest with your recruiter they will tell you

I have two DUI's, 18 and 20 years ago. Just worried because I was sent home from Werner on day three of orientation because had 3 week CDL school instead of 5 weeks. Big waste of time. I have heard of people being sent home for other reasons even if they were approved by safety dept. beforehand. Now I'm a little leery about going anywhere.

Work history the last 3 years if 10 years if you were a driver.

driving record, the last 3 years

convictions and DUI are company specific. some companies will not allow even 1 DUI others might say 2, others might say 1 in a lifetime

be honest and only answer what is asked. "Have gou EVER been convicted" is much different from "have you been convicted the last 3 years"

I work for Prime who is stricter than others. there are "second chance" companies but might as well try the others first.

whats the issue...we might be able to help
