Just got my cdl and ready to get my life goin

Do you think I should go to the DMV to dropped back down to a Class C?

Jason

Everyone deserves happiness. Your are correct. But if you withhold medical information and something happens that you cause an accident, 1 you will be fired on the spot and 2, I am sure you will be liable for damages and anything a savvy lawyer can think of, lawyers for both the trucking company and the family you probably killed. I understand your wants but sometimes it's not all about you, especially when you could put yourself and a unsuspecting company at financial risk. Not smart

Sounds like me, but you’re on to something. If that’s the case then I could devote my time to being a Uber/Lyft driver. I know what I’m doing is illegal but gee I’m tired of being ****ed off. But this plan can work. I know I never mentioned my condition but I want to do what I WANT TO DO for a living not settle cause I’m flawed. See my uncle is a trucker and has been for 5-6 years already and looking to go in business for himself. He aware and weary of what I’m doing but I was doing this in a class c bus job that needed a medical card. Transportation is my dream. My uncle said once he’s started he would hire and give me the off time I need to go home and get my prescription or dr. Appointment and go back on the road. Everyone deserves happiness, do they not?

Personally, I think we're being trolled on this one.

I've been wanting to say one thing on the subject of living and working with epilepsy though. One of the smartest people who ever worked for me had epilepsy and controlled it most of the time with dylantin. He was uneducated, and couldn't read or write. He was brilliant with mechanical things and regularly invented and produced machinery and tools that made our manufacturing processes more efficient.

My foreman took his own time to teach him to read and write and that only improved his usefulness and value in our operation. He was one of several employees I'll never forget. His biggest desire in life was to be a pilot, a dream that epilepsy would never allow him to achieve. He didn't waste his time venting about his limitations, he applied himself diligently to things he could do and made a successful life for himself.

I never mentioned my seizures

Meds can be got all over the country at Walmart. The problem is getting a local job with zero experience. It can be done. However, I don't know how you got a medical card. An OTR may hire you if you get a waiver. Do you want to be driving an 80,000 pound death machine with the possibility of having a seizure? This is more about the rest of the world than you. It seems to me you could benefit from some counciling to help you deal with the emotional issues you are having with your disease. How old are you? Do you live on your own? Good luck to you.

Hey fam, look I know this is of heavy concern to you but I just earned my CDL and ready to get on with my life. I’m tired of going job to job and always getting fired and being trash at everything I do. I done went to college and failed, went to trade school for plumbing and failed, and went to school again for carpentry and FAILED! I’m tired too much much putting out than money coming in for the nice things I want in life. I’m tired of being held back by a stupid disease (epilepsy). I wanna do what I enjoy and that’s driving. Hell, I done had class c jobs that would have disqualified cause of my condition and all I had to do was drive old people around In a damn van. It’s controlled and I don’t see why not. Haven’t had a seizure in years. I think I’ll be fine as long as I stay local cause OTR will conflict with me getting my Medicine on time. Recently, I just paid for some herbs which is supposed to be a cure for epilepsy from a guy named Dr. Lawson and says it’s a permanent cure and I’m gonna go cause I don’t care if my family think it’s a scam. Looks all my life I been rejected cause of this stupid disease. I can’t be a fire fighter, I got rejected by the army, I could never play football, what’s the point of living if I can’t do what I passionately wanna do? I can’t stand working jobs being ****ed off dll day. Everything I ever did ppl talked behind my back and said I was garbage. This disease is like... it’s like making it to a championship game but you know you’ll never win it. It’s a curse and I’m tired of it. Look, I got my Class A and I tend to ONLY be local, just glad SWIFT gave me the free training but I knew OTR would never work I’m planning for every contingency than can happen . I know I’m a violation in motion but loook, I’m doing what I gotta do to make a living that’s my only answer to all of this. Only thing that can blow this is if I had a health issue I the future non seizure related and I tell them and they see I have a cdl then s again I still got a state id, then it’s gone or I have a seizure but it’s been well co trolled for over 5 years even tho my last EEG showed a spike. Cmon fam I need understanding and support here I wanna make a happy living for myself. I wanna buy a house, I want a nice brand new car (BMW), I want to attract a woman to be my wife, I want a family to take care of, and I cannot do that without doing something I dreamed about!
