Hypothetically, would a person with shoulder length hair who has not consumed cannabis for the past year need to cut their hair?

Thank you for your reply. From what I understand, many/most companies do not go past 90 days (the 1.5 inches of hair closest to the scalp).
However, with long hair it would be possible to check back farther should the company choose to (and apparently those tests are more expensive).
I'm in agreeance with you about not taking chances with respect to one's career. With that in mind, the hypothetical long hair who hasn't consumed cannabis in 365+ days could theoretically cut all but about 5 to 6 inches of their hair and be good for the test, if I'm understanding everything correctly (hopefully this can be confirmed in the thread).
