Will lack of work history be an issue?
Hello ladies I'm new to the forums but I have been reading and researching alot. I'd really like to get my CDL training through Prime as they seem to have the best reputation for women and new students alike. I've heard they can be very selective and I've been having issues getting into contact with anyone over the phone. I sent an application online over a week ago and have not heard back from them. I have tried calling every day this week and it will tell me for 10 minutes that I am the next available person in queue and then suddenly hang up or dump me into voice mail. I have a spotless DMV record and background check but I have not worked in over a decade as I have been a stay at home mom to my kids. I earned an associates degree in 2014 but that was some time ago. Do you believe the lack of work history is why no one has called me back? I can't think of any other reason besides they might just be swamped with applications. Should I give up on Prime and try another company? Who else would hire me that is decent (not CRE or CRST for example). The closest CDL community college near me is an hour drive away which is not doable as I would not be getting paid and would need childcare. I would love your thoughts! Thank you.

Thanks for getting back to me. I will keep trying to reach out to them. I reached out to Roehl and they said they are not hiring in my area at all. As for CRE/CRST I've heard nothing but complaints between schooling/safety/sexual harassment claims including here on trucking truth.
