I feel like every time I see something about Swift, it's surrounded by negative connotations. What did Swift or its drivers ever do to the general public to make them such a target for ridicule? I saw this on FB and the second I saw that it was a Swift truck I knew the comments section would be full of comments like "Swift drivers do this on dry pavement all the time" and "well it's a Swift driver, so..." (and it is)

This is an honest question. Why do so many have such a negative view of Swift???

I've been watching the Oregon DOT website all morning. Finally Cabbage open with no restrictions. Logged on duty at 1200, pre trip, pull out of the TS, over the bridge to the on ramp, snowplow pulls across on ramp, closes gates!!!!! Eff me I'm thinkin', did I read something wrong? Detour to parking area, go back to website. ALERT....I 84 closed due to accident at 1218. So here I sit again........with my 14 hour clock ticking away. This is a situation where the 14 hour rule can really screw you over. Hopefully it is a dumb ass 4 wheeler and they can get him out of the way and re open

It's a better day. I haven't unloaded yet, I got here early, but I think they are going to make me wait until 1030 mountain time.

But at least the truck is warm inside.

When I got here it was 27 and it has warmed to 32. Now that is progress.

Got lost but found a way back to the correct route, no tickets, safely parked, didn’t run into anything, learned things for future use, and didn’t make the local news. Sounds like a successful first day solo.
