Leaving For School On Midnight May 4th

At this point it's unclear if I will have to pay. My recruiter told me he didn't think I would have to pay. We were required to sign an agreement on the first day of school. But the contract isn't signed until a person passes orientation and hired by the company. That's my understanding right now. I need to know before I make any other plans.

Leaving For School On Midnight May 4th

Hold on now. I was dismissed this morning from the program because I failed the backing. I had trouble with the Alley Dock but was learning it over the weekend. But this morning I was called to the office and dismissed. I will be going home today or tomorrow. Thank you guys for all the encouragement, and support. I will return home and plot my next move.

Thanks Old School. I was just thinking about the whole situation last night. I'm glad I started his journey, can't wait until I get on the road. I sat behind the wheel yesterday and imagined it.

Leaving For School On Midnight May 4th

Hey guys, sorry it's been awhile since an update. I get up at 4am and don't get back until 6pm.

Anyway, I have been learning to backup. The alley dock has been the hardest, but as of today it's starting to click. I took the test and almost passed. I hope to tomorrow. If things go well I could have my CDL this week, then orientation and then trucking at last. I will keep you all posted. Thanks for caring about me and my experience.

Backing was better today. I made it about halfway into the alley dock before I gave too much pivot. The straight back and offset manuvers are coming along nicely. Providing I get the backing down and and road test done I could be finished this weekend. Then orientation by next week. That's my goal

Thank you Pack Rat. I will persevere. It's kind of nice because my classmates are all struggling too. We are in the same boat. I want to throw this advice out to anyone in school or planning to go, observe all the backing you can. You learn a lot from watching.
