Cummins N14 Celect plus truck engine derate light

Hi everyone, I have a ERF Cummins N14 Celect plus truck with a engine derate light problem. Usually when I switch on the ignition the engine derate light comes on and I wait till it goes off before I start the truck. Now when I switch on the ignition the Engine derate light does not come on and my truck wont start. The batteries are fine. A mechanic told me that the truck wont start if this Engine derate does not come on first before I start it but I don't have any idea why the light is not coming on. I did check the light bulb of this Engine derate light and it is fine. Any suggestions? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Cummins N14 Celect Plus vibration noise

Hello every one! I am so glad to be part of this forum. I have a Cummins N14 Celect plus which I am struggling quite a bit with. Everything was perfectly fine with it untill I did a oil change. After I changed the oil and oil filter I started it up but then had a vibration noise that was not there before. I used the same kind of oil as always, so no changes there. I checked everything but with no luck! I thought it may be the compressor as I was battling with the air aswell so I fixed the compressor hoping that that was the cause of the noise but no still the same. I changed the oil filter again as I did not use the usual kind I always used but still no change. checked the engine mountings, vibration damper, cab bushes, accessory drive, air compressor cooling pipe not rubbing on the block. I sounds almost asif a washer of some sorts came loose and is runnig with the engine. Any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated as I don't have a clue any more! Thanks
