At Primes Psd Program

While HBP is a something that has to be taken care of, taking BP is an, in exact science, kind of like shooting at a moving target. There's White Coat, caffiene, driving in traffic before you get to the doctors office ect.

Taking ones BP while resting and lying down is a normal procedure, not cheating. A good way to check your BP is to check it when you first wake up in the morning while still lying down, if it's high, there's a good chance of Sleep apnea.

The height of your arm (usually the left as it's closer to your heart) is very important, it needs to be level with your heart. I've experimented with my BP machine while sitting on a couch, 20 point difference from arm hanging down, to resting it on top of the back of the couch.

I also figgered out that while trying to relax for a lower reading it got worse. I realized I was unconcisely breathing to slowly (Blood O2 going lower, heart working harder ?). Found out if I took 10 deep breaths before, and, during testing, in thru nose and out thru mouth (not so fast as to be hyperventalating or noticed by anyone) that my BP would also be 10 to 20 points lower.

This is why doctors sometimes have patients get their own BP machine and record at different times of the day, to get an average. BP is best controlled by diet and exercise as even Medications don't work over time as your body compensates and they have to keep adding more meds.

I'm not recomending anything to anybody, except to do your own research, Dan

Any problem with using a tandem semi trailer with one axle cut off?

Brandon, why are U asking new drivers about a trailer your going to let set a year or more then try to go on the road with it ? A Great Dane trailer, if the slider hasn't been cut with a torch, then restore it to 2 axles and repairs as needed. Trying to save $2,000 and going back on the road unsafe is not a discussion for this Forum.

Unions ...... Good or bad??

It's a "New World order" Unions with or with out is not the problem, Inflation is when you have too much $$$ chasing to few commodities. What we have is too many workers chasing too few Jobs. Yes it looks like there is a driver shortage, but the fact is the companies are just taking advantage of cheap labor by not paying $ & Bennefits, and working conditions. As long as drivers keep getting burnt out and leave instead of making enough money and Bennefits to stay for the long haul, and there is a countinous supply of new drivers to take their place, then they don't care and I don't see it getting better.

This Country needs to make some Hard decisions to take care of our own People,,, The Problem being is most of the World is Messed up worse than we are, so everybody wants to come here, unless something changes, we won't be able to Fix our own Problems, let alone fix the World. Yes I've studied Milton Friedman.

Unions ...... Good or bad??

And we can't take in everybody else in the world when we can't support our own Country. We have all the Energy we need in our own Country, if we were allowed to use it to drive down the cost of production to bring back the manufactering jobs here. We could, should be an Energy exporter, instead of Still importing Oil from countries that want to destroy us. Yes it's about the Big Cats that control Finance and Politics, such as not allowing more pipelines, so the owners of the Rail Roads can make more $$ hauling Crude Oil Bomb Trains thru Chicago. We have so much oil in reserve right now that we have no place to store it, that we have a 5 year low of Oil drilling rigs working right now, it is nice to have low Fuel prices but the oil workers are out of jobs right now and also with lower wages for those still working. We are still importing oil from over Seas because we don't have enough of the light crude oil Refineries for the Oil we are now producing. Dosn't help that nobody wants an oil refinery in their back yard, politics, domestic and Foreign, Oil companies would rather pump less and charge more. We have a 1000 years of Natural Gas supplies.

Unions ...... Good or bad??

I learned in my first year of HS (1962) in Economics 101 about the Law of Supply and Demand. Labor is just another commodity so the only way wages can go up is when there is a shortage of Laborers.

Unions are a way of restricting laborers in a particular trade, but with deregulation and right to work States, that went away. Technology, automation has dumbed down the requirements of a lot of jobs.

Even Technical IT, Programing jobs have been out sourced over Seas or allowed importing of Skilled Visa workers to water down the pay scale of even those jobs.

Forced minimum $15 an hour jobs is just only going to end up with more automation and less workers.

What ever the CEOs at the top make $$$, won't change the fact of to many workers chasing to few jobs. Having a Union or not won't fix the problem. How hard you work for, or how many College Degrees you get won't fix the Big picture.

Our manufacturing and technology jobs our being done over Seas as I said before. Truck driving is basically a service job that can't be exported and has to be done here. Problem being Union or not,,, there is a surplus of workers..

Like or not, we Have to restrict workers from coming into our country,,, a Border fence isn't the problem, we just need a positive worker ID (Biometrics Ect) to prevent illegal workers from The work force.

Extreme cold weather truck parking - per Swift

I Ran ND a lot,,, with a 2014 Cascadia with Calif. clean Idle which would shut off after 5 minutes !!! would put it in high Idle (PTO) to cheat the system, ran all night until it wanted a ReGen. If you wern't there or awake to push the Regen button,,, the engine would shut down and turn into an Ice Cube if you were in a Motel. Would end up in Limp Mode going to a Dealer for help IF you got it Started

DOT required reflective tape?

"05 Hino,, 17,000 lbs straight truck, no CDL required" ? I'd have to get the book out, but I thought over 16,000 lbs in business requires a CDL C, also 10,001 requires a Medical , CDL or not. I was told by a NTSB guy once, that over 10,001 in business depending on distance requires a log book CDL or not.
