I live near Champagne, Illinois , though my Fiance and I are looking to move. (Lansdale, Pennsylvania, Grand Junction, Colorado or West Lebanon, New Hampshire.) I got my CDL through the state in may 2017 and haven't done much except, go to Schneider, drive a dump truck and drive a school bus with it. Been unemployed for the last 5 months after leaving First student; kids were getting too rowdy and couldn't do anything about it. I was hoping to find something local but it seems like all the normal jobs are taken up, no luck with interviews and it looks like I have no other choice but to go with trucking. Can't even land a job at Mcdonalds. I was at Schneider in September and October of 2017 but didn't go through with it after my grandma died and the week out on the road with the trainer caused some issues. (too much downtime with nothing to do, barely able to eat, sleep schedule issues (His apnea machine kept me up sometimes) and no cellular reception to keep in contact with family.)
I have degenerative arthritis in both knees that cause swelling issues while using the clutch in yard maneuvers and such. I know I need a refresher, an AMT, weekly home-time at the most (a bit worried about my relationship) and a fridge would be preferred as I am trying to lose weight(so an inverter?) I didn't see any benefits at the time and all I could focus on was how much of my life I was giving up. Still see it as a huge sacrifice but i'm seeing how it can help in the long run. Helping Fiance get into and through college, getting us a house of our own and actually be able to make the engagement official beyond just a small simple t-shirt wedding.
Wanted to know what companies I should look at and any advice?
I didn't fully understand what I was getting into when I went ahead with 160 Driving Academy back in March-May 2017.

In need of advice... no experience and looking at companies.
