Parked regen question

Idling emissions trucks is a very bad idea. The systems do not like it. When you need to idle hit your cruise control switch to idle the truck up to about 800 rpm. They do much better that way.

Ah I see, thank you. So that prevents the exhaust from building up?

If I'm parked and idling and the regen light comes on while I'm asleep, what will happen? Will it do the regen automatically? I have a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia.
